On the way!

As college football season begins this weekend I am now more than ever looking forward to fall.
Colors, smells, foods….
I am so thankful that my husband is not a college football fanatic. I know, I know… Rare is this type of man. We do enjoy the occasional college game, but we would rather shout GO FALCONS than any other team. No offense to anyone who has extreme enthusiasm for their alma mater!!

Fall just brings on all kinds of warm fuzzies for me. It’s the best kind of snuggling weather, season of baked goods and extreme seasonal decor, and best fire pit hangs. Cheers to you, cold weather to come. And cheers to the abundant amount of leggings I’ll wear.

Best friends forever

My two pups have changed my life for the better… They are always happy to see me and know just how to put me in a good mood! Rex is the goofiest, sweetest cuddle giver and Bella is the complete opposite… Smarter than any dog I know and unwilling to snuggle (unless she is sleepy). I love being their caretaker and I can’t imagine my life without them!! Cheers to many more years! And here’s a couple of my favorite pictures of them 🙂

Guest room ready!

Another huge project we started this weekend was working on painting our guest bedroom! When we first bought the house, the room was covered in grasscloth. That’s nice and all, but this was street cone orange grasscloth…. I wasn’t a fan.

I had to go through the longest process to take this stuff down. In order to remove it from the wall, I had to score it using a tool (so the spray would soak through to the adhesive), spray it with an adhesive remover (my hand was sore for days), pull off the grasscloth, scrap off any remaining adhesive, sand the ENTIRE ROOM, wipe the walls of all of the dust, then finally paint.

I dread painting. I used to think it looked like a cute lil fun bonding experience. No. Not after 7 rooms. It’s not fun anymore. However, the guest room was the quickest room I’ve painted so far thanks to my super helpful husband!! He decided to chip in with this room making the process less tedious for me.
We haven’t picked out the furniture yet, but I am so thrilled that the hard part is finally over and we can walk by this room and not see orange or sheet rock walls!! Yippeee!!

Bathroom Reno

We are finally tackling the daunting task of finishing our bathroom!! We have a new toilet but we are hoping to replace the sink with a vanity and get rid of the outdated lights for something more modern. Can’t wait to post the “after” pictures, but here are some “befores”!

We have been avoiding doing this for a while… And even though we can’t afford to do all of it right now, we are excited to finally have the motivation to start!
